THE ONES THAT WALK SLOW
‘The Ones That Walk Slow’, a short documentary produced in association with the Sloth Conservation Foundation, as part of my Wildlife Filmmaking MA course.
The world’s slowest mammals, sloths, are rapidly being left behind by urbanisation: stranded in isolated pockets of jungle, ill-equipped to navigate the human world. The ‘Ones That Walk Slow’ looks at their plight through the eyes of a colourful Caribbean coastal community, also struggling to keep pace with modern life. We journey alongside the local people as they work to reconnect the jungle canopy and re-wild land previously decimated by construction, to help both the sloths and humans navigate their new urban habitat.
